Liz Carroll Will Not Get A New Trial

(BATAVIA, OH) --  Judge Robert Ringland has ruled that Liz Carroll will not get a new trial.

Carroll's defense attorney had requested the new trial after statements from a juror appeared in a local paper.

Carroll has appealled the jury's decision to the 12th District Court of Appeals.  It could take up to 8 months before her appeal is heard.

The jury found her guilty of murder and other charges in the death of Marcus Fiesel  and she was sentenced to 54 years in prison.
