(GUILFORD, IN) -- You don't have to travel to Italy or even California to enjoy good wine and good food. You dont' even have to travel a full tank of gas away.

It won't take you one tank to travel to Guilford, Indiana but it certainly feels like it's an ocean away. Vineyards line the drive up to the Chateau Pomije Winery where they have a full service resaurant, reception hall, and of course wine tasting bar.

"We offer 14 different wines here sweet to dry to semi sweet and we're very popular with the fruit wines blueberry blackberry raspberry," says Eric Anevsky of Chateau Pomije.

And if you drive just a little further north and west, you'll happen upon Ertel Cellars.

Where they also specialize in fruit wines.

"Make a day of it we offer picnic basket lunches," says Brian Ahaus. "We have a full scale restaurant four star chef"

But before you eat and do some tasting, you can see how it all comes together.

"We'll teach you about the wines we'll teach you about the process from start to finish."

So for less than a tank of gas you can enjoy the countryside, sip some good wine, enjoy gourmet cuisine.

All right in our backyard at Southeastern Indiana's wineries.
