(CINCINNATI) -- There are several ways to get started riding your bike to work. The easiest way is to find a friend who rides and tag along with them for a couple of trips. It helps you learn the rules of the road and become comfortable riding in traffic.
You will need a bike, helmet, spare tube and pump in case you have a flat. It helps to join a bike club if you are at all nervous about setting out on your own. Bike clubs can help you learn the rules of the road, change a tire, ride with traffic, improve your bicycle handling skills.
May is National Bike Month. Bike to work week in Cincinnati is May 21-25, 2007. For more information visit the bike club links on the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Bicycling page or visit a local cycling shop.
