(FORT THOMAS, KY) -- The Fort Thomas woman accused of shooting and killing her husband is behind bars on a million dollar cash bond despite a plea from the victim's family.
Cheryl McCafferty appeared before a judge via video camera this morning. She's charged with murder. Police say she shot and killed her husband Bob in their Fort Thomas home around 8A-M Monday morning.
Mary Beth Exeler, the sister of Bob McCafferty, said "his family we would like to see Cheryl released on a reasonable bond."
It's the first murder in Fort Thomas in more than a decade.
Mccafferty will be back in court July 5th.
