(NEWPORT) -- Cheryl McCafferty has been indicted by a Campbell County Grand Jury for her husband's murder.
In a press conference this afternoon the prosecutor's office said that all evidence pointed to Cheryl being the only one who fired a gun. They expect no other charges.
There was no physical evidence of physical abuse according to the investigation. In a 9-1-1 call to police on Monday, Cheryl told dispatch that she feared for her life.
It was also released the Robert McCafferty was lying in bed at the time he was shot.
Cheryl McCafferty is being held in the Campbell County Detention Center on a million dollar bond.
McCafferty will be arraigned on July 10th at 11:30 a.m. in Campbell County Circuit Court.
