(LEBANON, OH) -- A man who led police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 71 last week has been indicted in Warren County.

Adam Carpenter, 20, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery, one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of kidnapping, one count of escape, one count of grand theft, one count of failure to comply and one count of resisting arrest.

Warren County prosecutor Rachel Hutzel says Carpenter could face up to 23 years of prison if he's found guilty on all charges.

Carpenter broke out of the Community Correctional Facility, stole a Chevrolet Trailblazer from a home in Turtle Creek Township and led police on a chase that started around Kings Island and headed southbound on Interstate 71. The chase ended on the Montgomery Road exit ramp in Kenwood.

The chase caused several accidents along I-71, tying up the interstate for hours. No one in the accidents was seriously injured.
