Police Arrest Two For Reading Robbery

(READING, OH) -- Police have arrested two men in connection with an armed bank robbery that occurred Tuesday at the Valley Central Credit Union in Reading.

After the robbery occurred at around 12:30 p.m., police say the suspects were seen in the Lincoln Heights area changing vehicles.

Later in the day, the city of Cincinnati Police Department observed a vehicle matching the description of the second vehicle. The two suspects in that car were brought back to the Reading Police Department for questioning and admitted to committing the robbery.

Reading police then obtained search warrants for the suspects' residences and the majority of the currency from the robbert was recovered, along with two weapons that were used in the offense.

Christopher Avery, 21, and Andrew Butler, 19, both of Cincinnati, were charged with aggravated robbery and transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
