Man Found Guilty Of Murder After Setting Fire To Grandfather's House

(HAMILTON, OH) -- A Middletown man was found guilty of murder and two counts of aggravated arson by a Butler County grand jury this morning.

Investigators say Adam Collinsworth, 20, intentionally set a fire back in March on his grandfather's, Clarence Collinsworth's, front porch.

Clarence Collinsworth died in the fire. Another occupant of the house, Herma Gayhart, was able to escape.

Middletown fire marshal Brent Hughes said the fire was intentionally set using an accellerant. A jail inmate also testified that Collinsworth told him he set the fire because he was angry with his grandfather for kicking him out of the house.

Collinsworth testified that he "loved his grandfather to death."
