Middletown Agrees To Put Two Levies On Nov. Ballot

(MIDDLETOWN, OH) -- The Middletown Board of Education, at special meeting on Thursday morning, agreed to put two separate tax levies on on the Nov. 6 ballot.

This comes after an August levy failure and after the district has made reductions in the school day, classes, transportation, teachers, support staff, administration and extracurricular opportunities for students.

The new issues are a $4 million renewal, which will not increase taxes for the residents of the district. The second issue will generate $1.5 million for the district and will increase taxes less than $8 per month for the owner of a $100,000 home.
