(CINCINNATI) -- The Reds announced Monday that six players from Triple-A Louisville would joing the club on Tuesday.
One of the call ups is 23-year-old first baseman/outfielder Joey Votto, who batted .294 with 22 home runs, 92 RBIs and a .381 on-base percentage. Votto was 2002 second-round draft pick, and was the Bats' most valuable player and the International League's rookie of the year.
Also being recalled are Todd Coffey, Brad Salmon and Kirk Saarloos. Outfielder Buck Coats, who was acquired in a trade with the Cubs last week, and catcher Ryan Hanigan will also be available.
All MLB teams are permitted to expand their rosters after Sept. 1.
