Update: FOX19 has learned that 15-year-old Rochelle Perry has died from her injuries.
The suspect is still at-large.
A 15-year-old girl was critically injured on Wednesday night after she was struck by a car while crossing the street.
Police say Rochelle Perry, of Fairmount, exited a Metro Bus on the north side of Montgomery Road around 8:30 p.m. and stepped into the path of a vehicle that was passing the bus inside the northbound lane. The vehicle struck her and continued without stopping.
Perry was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The vehicle is believed to be a compact to mid-size car. Police are attempting to use surveillance video from the bus, as witness reports are conflicting.
