(EVANSTON, OH) -- A man has turned himself in to police following a fatal hit and run that killed a 15-year-old girl last week.

Police say Terrell Ohara, 23, of Cincinnati, hit Rochelle Perry as she stepped off a Metro bus on Montgomery Road, but he kept on driving. Perry died the next day from her injuries.

Ohara is charged with tampering with evidence and failure to stop after an accident, both felonies. According to the police report, O'Hara attempted to have repairs done on his vehicle and painted it black. His vehicle, a 1997 Toyota Camry, has been impounded for further investigation.

Investigators were using a partial serial number from his headlight to track O'Hara down, but he turned himself in before it came to that. He was arrested just after midnight on Wednesday.
