(CINCINNATI) -- Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is now the second-largest pediatric research facility in the country.
This coming after a new state of the art facility officially opened on Monday. That brings the total research space at Children's to one million square feet. The new building is twelve stories high, cost $136 million and will be home to 1,500 researchers.
Several local and state leaders were on hand for the opening, including Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory, Congresswoman Jean Schmidt and Congressman Steve Chabot.
