(LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH) -- Police are trying to figure out how and why a man drove his mini van into a swimming pool.
Around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, police responded to a scene in the 5000 block of Hamilton-Middletown Road in Liberty Township.
The driver of a Plymouth mini-van, Mike Skidmore, 42, was traveling westbound on Carrousel Boulevard when he crashed into an unoccupied portion of the Countryside Village business office and partially submerged the van in a swimming pool.
EMS personnel immediately rescued the driver and two children from the vehicle.
Skidmore was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. A 10-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital for a bruised right arm and a 4-year-old passenger was also transported for a cut on the head. Both children have since been released.
There was about two feet of water in the pool at the time of the accident. No one in the building was injured.
