Masonic Lodge Helps Parents with Computers

Some local parents will soon be able to keep a closer watch on their kids' school progress.

The Free Mason's Local Lodge Number 678 is putting together computer systems for families in the Mason School District.

The Mason's want to help parents without Internet access get linked into the district's "ed-line" system.

"Parents can communicate with teachers, they can download homework, get grades, and really become part of the school system with their child," says Mason Mike Mullinger.

So far 25 computer systems are up and running and ready to be given away.

The group hopes to give out a hundred systems.
