(PETERSBURG, KY) -- A Petersburg, Ky. man has been arrested on numerous counts of thefts and vandalism after an investigation revealed he had stolen copper grounding plates and wiring from various cell phone tower sites throughout Boone County.
The crimes took place over a two month period.
Mark Krumpelman, 30, was charged with eight counts of theft by unlawful taking and eight counts of criminal mischief, one count of possession of burglary tools, one county of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held in the Boone County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
Police say Krumpelman sold the plates and wires to scrap yards. He was also arrested recently by the Cincinnati Police Department for a similar crime.
