(HAMILTON, OH) -- A Butler County grand jury has returned 30 indictments agains a local attorney.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office began an investigation in early October after receiving a complaint of alleged discrepancies in payroll documents submitted to the courts by court-appointed attorneys.
The investigation revealed Karan Horan, 44, of West Chester, as a suspect and she was indicted for 28 counts of tampering with records, one count of grand thet and one count of forgery, all felonies.
Horan is alleged to have submitte the payroll paperwork in names other than her own. Investigators are continuing to search for her to serve her with the indictments, but she remains at large.
