(INDIAN HILL, OH) -- Six firefighters who were injured in a large house fire in Indian Hill in July have returned to work.
The firefighters were injured in a fire July 25 on Cunningham Road. All of the firefighters were hospitalized with second degree burns. Two required skin grafting for areas of third degree burns.
The cause of the rapid fire expansion even that resulted in the injuries has been determined as a backdraft. It occurred when an area of the roof collapsed, which rapidly accelerated combustion.
Rebuilding of the house is underway and full restoration is expected. Final cause of the fired should be determined next week.
