FBI to Investigate Roger Owensby Jr. Case

After close to two years of praying and pleading for help, Roger Owensby's family finally found a glimmer of hope. The FBI plans to investigate his suffocation while in the custody of five police officers following a struggle in November 2000.

"I was so grateful," admitted Owensby's mother, Brenda. "I just said praise the Lord."

"We might finally get the justice we've been asking for," added his father, Roger Sr.

Two of the officers involved, Robert Jorg and Patrick Caton, received acquittals. Now, if the feds find evidence of a civil rights violation, the U.S. Department of Justice could seek charges.
