(BURLINGTON, KY) -- A Northern Kentucky man faces charges of attempted murder this morning after police say he shot his wife.
James Gronefeld, 73, of Todd Drive in Burlington is in the Boone County Detention Center.
Police say that around 4 a.m. this morning Gronefeld shot his wife, Constance Gronefeld, 69, in her upper body.
Constance was able to leave her home and cross the street where a neighbor called 9-1-1. She was transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati with non life-threatening injuries.
Officials say nearly 20 other people rescued from the back of the rig early Sunday were hospitalized in dire condition, many with extreme dehydration and heatstroke.Full Story >
