Chase Reaches Speeds Of 100 mph

(COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH) -- A vehicle pursuit between a suspect and a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy on Tuesday reached speeds of 100 miles per hour.

Just after 2:30 a.m., police say the deputy observed a vehicle operating in a reckless manner on eastbound I-275 at Colerain Ave. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to comply and a chase ensued.

At the Hamilton exit, about 3.4 miles away, the suspect finally stopped for the deputy and was taken into custody.

Steven M. Koeller, 25, of Middletown, is charged with failure to comply and driving under suspension.

Koeller is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
