Coroner Says Amount of Cocaine In Teen's System Was "Off The Chart"

(CINCINNATI) -- A teenager who died in police custody had extremely high levels of cocaine in his system, says Hamilton County coroner Dr. O'dell Owens.

Sedric Massey died earlier this month at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police say Massey swallowed a bag of cocaine to try to hide the fact that he had it in possession.

Owens said the amount of cocaine in Massey's system was so high that it could not yet be measured. He also said there was other drugs in his system, including marijuana.

Owens also said Massey probably swallowed the drugs around 8 p.m., which is well before he was booked into 20/20.
