Officer Involved In Man's Death To Be Promoted

(CINCINNATI) -- One of the Cincinnati officers involved in the death of Roger Owensby Jr. is back in the news.

Officer Patrick Caton is one of 17 officers being promoted during a ceremony Thursday at the Duke Energy Center.

Caton was acquitted for his role in Owensby's death, but was later fired from the department in 2003. Two years later, a judge ordered the city to reinstate him.

Owensby suffocated while in police custody in 2000.
