Hamilton Fire Injures 1, Displaces Several Others

(HAMILTON, OH) -- One person has been injured and several others displaced after a fire in Hamilton.

Flames broke out around 5:40 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of South 11th St. Crews had the flames knocked down by 7:30 a.m.

The house is a two story structure and is home to 12 people.

FOX19 has learned that one female was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but the other 11 people - four adults and seven children - in the home made it out OK. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire has been ruled as careless smoking.
