(CINCINNATI) -- A man accused of raping a college student while she may have been sleepwalking has been ruled competent to stand trial.

Dexter Ford, 52, was indicted in November on charges of rape, attempted rape, felonious assault and kidnapping.

The woman was walking near Interstate 71 at about 3:30 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 8, police said. Two passing motorists used cell phones to call police and report that a man was on top of a woman.

Ford revealed to police during the investigation that he is HIV positive.

Ford's attorney asked for a second opinion and the case will be back in court on March 6.
