(CLEVES, OH) -- A 16-year-old girl is in stable condition after being struck by a car on her way to school.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on U.S. 50 at Mt. Nebo Road in Cleves.
A 1999 Dodge Neon operated by Ryan R. Jump, 29, of Cleves, was on Mt. Nebo Road attempting to turn westbound onto U.S. 50, when he struck the girl.
The girl was transported to Children's Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition. Jump was not injured.
Police say alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the crash. The girl was crossing a roadway that is controlled by a walk sign with no pavement markings.
The crash remains under investigation.
