(SOUTH LEBANON, OH) -- Six different fire departments responded to the scene of a blaze just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning on Shawhan Road near South Lebanon.
Fire crews say it took longer than expected to bring the house fire under control because there were no hydrants in the area. They had to get all their water from extra tanker trucks, and with the wind blowing so hard, they say it was just fueling the fire.
The family was able to escape unharmed, but the home is a total loss. The Red Cross is helping the family this morning.
