UPDATE: Woman In Fatal Mason Accident Identified

(MASON, OH) --

Update: Mason police have identified the victim in Thursday night's automobile accident as Amy Reese, 26, of Hamilton, Ohio. Police have said that the death was accidental and that no other vehicles or persons were involved.

A Hamilton woman was killed Thursday night in a tragic accident.

It happened while she was working at the Brazenhead pub at the corner of U.S. 42 and Tylersville Road.

The accident happened in the back parking lot around 9:30 p.m.

Police say a female employee was killed by a driverless car. No one saw it happen, but employees told authorities that the 26-year-old went outside to warm up a car. Police say it was her friend's vehicle.

But she was found half in and half out, trapped between a doorframe and an electric box on the building. Police don't know if she was getting out of the car and it started moving or if she noticed it moving and tried to get back in to stop it.

The car had a manual transmission and was found in gear.

The woman's name has not been released.

The pub was closed last night and there is no word on when it will reopen.
