Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Robbery, Escape

(FAIRFIELD, OH) -- 

Update: Harvey Johnson has been found guilty of one count of aggravated robbery and one count of escape.

A Butler County jury deliberated 40 minutes before handing over the verdict.

Johnson was senteced to the maximum possible prison sentence of 18 years by Hon. Judge Andrew Nastoff.

Johnson's trial for the death of Kiva Gazaway is scheduled to begin on April 28.

A man accused of killing a Liberty Township woman went on trial Monday for another crime committed right in a local court room.

Harvey Johnson is accused of robbery and escape after prosecutors say you can see him on tape trying to grab a bailiff's gun.

Johnson will have a separate trial for murder, kidnapping and rape in the death of Kiva Gazaway. He's pleaded not guilty to those charges.
