Local Lawmakers Head To Washington to Save Delta Queen

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- Supporters of a Cincinnati landmark will rally in Washington on Tuesday.

Local lawmakers, including representatives Jean Schmidt and Steve Chabot, are joining with grassroot supports to save the Delta Queen.

The riverboat was designated a national landmark in 1989, but could be shut down because it does not meet certain safety standards.

The Delta Queen has given a number of exemptions, but the latest expires in November.
