Officials in Kenton County are investigating a horrific case in which a 3-year-old girl was taken to the hospital, beaten and intoxicated.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital notified officials that the child was covered in bruises, sustained two fractures to the left arm and had bleeding on her brain. She was also found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.15, which is twice the legal limit in Kentucky.
The child has been taken out of custody from her mother. Officials say there were four other adults who had access to the child within a 12-hour period who are considered suspects.
The investigation is ongoing.
