Hamilton Police Bust Prostitution Ring

(HAMILTON, OH) -- The Hamilton Police Department has conducted a prostituion sweep, resulting in five arrests.

The bust occurred on Friday in the East Ave. and Dixie Highway areas of Hamilton.

"We are committed to pursuing prostitution activity on our streets, which often leads to other problems in our community.  We urge our citizens to report any of this activity so our investigators can act on these tips. These calls curtail this activity throughout the city," said Hamilton police chief Neil R. Ferdelman.

During the operation, the following subjects were charged:

  • Don Franklyn Woolum, 61, Cincinnati, who was charged with Soliciting and Improper Handling of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.
  • Terry Byron Belden, 64, Hamilton, who was charged with Soliciting.
  • Anthony Christopher Knoll, 31, Hamilton, who was charged with Soliciting.
  • Timothy Morris Cummins, 49, Hamilton, who was charged with Soliciting.
  • Bill Clarence Griffin, 57,  Hamilton, who was charged with two counts of Soliciting.
