(CINCINNATI) -- A man who hit a teenager girl then tried to hide the evidence has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Terrell O'hara, 24, hit 15-year-old Rochelle Perry with his car as she stepped off a Metro bus last autumn.

Perry died later in the day from her injuries. O'hara then tried to change the registration and paint on his car to hide evidence of his involvement. He turned himself into police a while later.

In court on Tuesday, O'hara pleaded no contest and the judge found him guilty of failure to stop and tampering with evidence.
