(GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH) -- A Cincinnati police officer was found dead in her home early Tuesday morning.
According to police, Officer Kelly Kistner was found in her Green Township home after she failed to show up for work as scheduled. District One supervisors contacted a family member and responded to her residence.
Officers then contacted the Hamilton County Sheriff's Investigation Section, which is conducting an investigation. At this time, foul play is not suspected. The Hamilton County coroner will perform an autopsy to determine her cause of death.
Officer Kistner began her career with the Cincinnati Police Department in April 2006 as a member of the 100th Recruit Class and had worked on patrol in District One since September 2006. She was 26 years old. Members of the Police Clergy are offering counsel and support to her family and her co-workers.
