(PRICE HILL, OH) -- Police performed a surprise raid on two locall nursing homes on Thursday.
Officers first heard of possible violations at the Westside Terrace nursing home on Grand Ave. last month.
Thursday, police and other agencies served search warrants for code and health violations. They also searched the Terrace Assisted Living Facility.
Officials say they found a hundred violations, including defective sprinkler systems, smoking allowed near oxygen tanks, piles of trash and puddles of vomit.
Five people were arrrested, one of them was charged with possessing marijuana.
Other criminal charges may be filed.
