(LEBANON, OH) -- A Lebanon Correction Officer has been arrested for attempting to convey drugs into the Lebanon Correctional Institution.
John H. Curless, 35, of Blanchester, is charged with attempting to convey drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools, all felonies.
Ohio state troopers and the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators obtained information that Curless was working for an inmate to bring drugs into the facility.
Curless was arrested on Friday after troopers caught him meeting his contact to pick up marijuana, crack cocaine and heroin that was intended to be taken into the prison.
He is being held in the Warren County Jail and faces up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine if convicted.
