(MILAN, IN) -- Police have busted a large underage drinking party in Milan, Indiana.
On Friday around 11:45 p.m., polie were notified of a large party in the 600 block of West Ellis Street in Milan. A complaint was received in regards to several parked cars in the roadway and in the yards and driveways of residents.
Officers with several police departments responded to discover nearly 150 individuals at an underage drinking party. During the course of the investigation, several suspects fled on foot and were apprehended a short time later, while the majority of partygoers were apprehended inside a large barn behind the residence.
In total, 31 adults were arrested for minors consuming alcohol, one adult was arrested for disorderly conduct and two adults were arrested for possession of marijuana. Also, 29 juveniles were arrested for minors consuming alcohol, two were arrested for disorderly conduct and one was arrested for possession of marijuana. There were 76 charges filed in the Ripley County Superior Court.
Police say all of the individuals arrested or cited were from the Cincinnati area, primarily attending or alumni of Oak Hills High School.
