(WEST CHESTER, OH) --
Update: Terrance Candidate was apprehended at his apartment on Lakeside Drive on Friday. He was taken into custody without incident.
The stolen Kia was recovered near Candidate's apartment.
The victim of the stabbing, William Murray Jr., was treated and released from the hospital.
Candidate was transported to the Butler County jail and has been charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, felonious assault and felony theft.
West Chester police are looking for a man who is accused of forcing himself into a home, stabbing a resident, then stealing a car.
Just before 9 p.m. Thursday night, police responded to a home in the 6100 block of Birkdale Drive.
The suspect forced himself inside the home and held the residents against their wishes by displaying a knife. An altercation ensued and one of the residents of the home was stabbed.
The suspect then fled the home by stealing the homeowner's car.
The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for the suspect, Terrance Candidate, 22. He is 5-foot-10 with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a 2002 black Kia Spectra. Police say he is familiar to the residents of the home.
