(HEBRON, KY) -- Passengers of a Delta/Chautauqua flight at the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International airport had to be pulled from the plane Tuesday morning after there was a report of smoke in the restroom.
Airport spokesman Ted Buschelman tells FOX19's Meghan Mongillo that the smoke was the result of an overheated engine.
The plane was pulled in for maintenance, escorted by fire engines.
A pilot declared an emergency while landing the plane. There were 33 passengers on board the aircraft, which was coming from Chatanooga, Tenn.
Chautauqua says while there was no actual smoke or fire, the plane will undergo a thorough inspection.
