(SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH) -- A worker sustained serious injuries on Tuesday after he was pinned between a truck and a door.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Tire Discounters on Fields-Ertel Road in Symmes Township.
Police say delivery truck diver was backing on the lot of Tire Discounters preparing to make a delivery. Robert Clopton, 30, of Cincinnati, a store manager, opened the receiving doors directly behind the truck to assist in unloading the cargo. He told the driver to back the vehicle closer to the building when the truck hit Clopton, pinning him between the rear left corner of the truck and a metal door.
Clopton was treated at the scene and then transported to University Hospital by Aircare for injuries sustained in the accident. He is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the truck, William Madaris, 23, of Cincinnati, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
