Sarah Jessica Parker Returns To Cincinnati To Promote Fragrance Line

(CINCINNATI) -- Cincinnati native and actress Sarah Jessica Parker was in town Thursday to promote her new fragrance line, "Lovely."

Parker is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the TV series "Sex and the City." She has recently completed filming a movie based on the popular show. Her other recent film credits include "Failure to Launch," "The Family Stone" and "Smart People." She is married to actor Matthew Broderick.

Parker attended Clifton Elementary School.

"She was a darling child. Lots of friends kids all liked her," said her second grade teacher, Judy Simpson. "That was before she was famous."

Parker, who also has a fashion line at Steve and Barry's called "Bitten," has always dreamed of a career in fragrance. Her scent blends lavendar, orchid and amber with apple martini, paper whites and musk.

"I think the best way to describe it is that it's a really well-mannered fragrance. It seems to suit so many people, which is really our desire, that it be suitable for women age 17 to 72, 82 and up," Parker said.

The collection consists of eau de parfum, body lotion, shower gel and body tonic.

Parker said one of her favorite things to do when she comes back to the Queen City is eat Skyline Chilli. She orders and large 3-way, and, "I eat it all," she says.
