Thirteen Show Preview Announced
For Inaugural Season Of
The National City Pavilion at Riverbend
Cincinnati, OH - The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra announced today the first thirteen shows for the much-anticipated National City Pavilion at Riverbend. Sheryl Crow will open the inaugural season on Sunday, May 25 with special guest Jason Mraz.
National City Pavilion at Riverbend is a covered, intimate, state-of-the-art 4,100-seat concert facility. The unique elevated tiered design was created to give every concertgoer a personal experience with exceptional sightlines and acoustics. Two large video screens next to the stage complete the overall fan experience.
The National City Pavilion at Riverbend fulfills a niche that was missing in the marketplace. Together with the 20,000 capacity Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati now has a one of a kind musical campus that can accommodate both the party-on-the-lawn acts as well as offer an up close and personal experience for music fans. The CSO together with concert promoter Live Nation expect the announcement today of thirteen shows to be a small portion of an anticipated 20 - 25 concert schedule. The National City Pavilion schedule together with the Riverbend Music Center schedule (which will be announced on April 16) will increase the number of summer concerts on the Riverbend campus to over 45 this summer.
In addition to the plethora of headlining acts that will perform on the National City Pavilion stage, the facility will also serve a second stage for festival-like concerts such as Projekt Revolution and Warped Tour. For the Jonas Brothers, the National City Pavilion will be used as a parental haven. Parents who bring their children to see Avril Lavigne and Jonas Brothers on July 28 will be allowed to enter the National City Pavilion for free and watch the show on two large screens while their children watch the concert across the concourse at Riverbend Music Center.
