UPDATE: Man Accused Of Florence Bank Robbery Arrested

(FLORENCE, KY) --

Update, Friday, April 11:

Police have arrested Christopher Kimmich, 46, of Burlington.

Kimmich was arrested Thursday, April 11 near Knoxville, Tenn.

Florence Police received information that caused them to contact the Tennessee Highway Patrol with the approximate whereabouts of Kimmich. The Highway Patrol spotted his vechicle on Interstate 75. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held in a Tennessee jail.

Florence police are looking for a suspect who robbed the U.S. Bank inside the Remke Supermarket on Burlington Pike.

Around noon on Tuesday, April 8, a male subject entered the banking area, threatened the used of a weapon and demanded money. The subject left with an undetermined amount of cash.

He was last seen leaving in a full size Dodge pickup truck with an extended cab, possibly dark blue with silver trim on the bottom.

He is described as a white male, 5-foot-10, early to mid '40's, gray hair, medium build, with a thin mustache. He was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a green baseball style hat.
