(LOVELAND, OH) -- Wednesday night was a big night for the "Let Us Never Forget" Scholarship Fundraiser.
Singing, dancing, and a live auction rounded out last the event at Oasis Banquet Center in Loveland, which netted $140,000.
There were also some surprises, like the re-enlistment of Matt Maupin's younger brother, Micah, into the Marine Corp.
Organizers also paused to honor the family of each solider who has died from the Tri-State.
Wednesday was declared Matt Maupin Day in Clermont County, to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the day the soldier's convoy came under attack in Iraq.
Maupin's family learn just a few days ago that Maupin's remains had been found, and his funeral is scheduled for April 27 at Great American Ball Park.

A fundraiser is also planned Friday at the Eastgate Biggs with Bengals kicker Shayne Graham.
