(FORT THOMAS, KY) -- Local high school students are shocked with word of the sudden death of a classmate.
"So caring to all the players, so respectful to all the coaches, tried to hard, such and unselfish person," is how football coach Dale Mueller describes Highlands High School sophomore Mitch Waldenmeyer.
Waldenmeyer died Thursday morning at Children's Hospital after a brain aneurysm burst.
Mueller says Waldenmeyer had complained of a headache, and went home from school early on Wednesday, before that aneurysm.
Waldenmeyer played defensive back and wide receiver on Highlands football team.
