Sex offender arrested for alleged rape

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, OH) -- A registered sex offender in Hamilton County has been arrested, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says the alleged rape occurred at the Town and County Mobile Home Park on Hamilton-Cleves Road in St. Clair Township. A rape report was filed on Wednesday claiming a 14-year-old female had been raped on Tuesday night by an acquaintaince while she was visiting a residence at the park.

The suspect, James Vincent-Reece Hansard, 27, of Cincinnati, was located later on Wednesday during a traffic stop on Hamilton-Cleves Road.

Hansard is charged with rape, a first degree felony. He is a registered sex offender in Hamilton County and was reportedly visiting at the Butler County address where the rape occurred. Police say his original crimes occurred in Warren County in 2003, and also involved young females.
