Man arrested for impersonating a police officer

(CINCINNATI) - A Florence man is in trouble for reportedly impersonating a police officer, and scamming a man out of $350.

Investigators say Michael Bowlin approached his victim in downtown Cincinnati, and asked for a ride.

Once in the car, Bowlin told the victim he was an undercover cop, and acted as if he'd arrest the man for solicitation.

The victim says he gave Bowlin $350 for a citation instead.

Then Bowlin called him later and tried to get more money, and that's when the real cops caught him.
