(CINCINNATI) -- Former Bengal Chris Henry was in court again on Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing.
The 24-year-old wide receiver has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal damaging dating to March, when a University of Cincinnati student told police that Henry punched him in the head and damaged his car.
The case has been sent to an assignment commissioner to set a jury trial date.
Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Richard Bernat told Henry that he is allowed to leave town to try out for other teams, but before going, he must present a letter proving that the team is interested in him. Otherwise, he remains on the same bail with an electronic monitoring device.
Henry's attorneys have repeatedly asked for the monitoring device to be removed, but the judge has persistently denied the request.
