(CINCINNATI) -- Two teens convicted of killing a fetus by kicking, beating and stomping on its mother were sentenced on Tuesday.

Alfonso Price, 16, and Jebrell Wright, 17, each received 23 years to life in prison.

The were also convicted of kidnapping and felonious assault for the July 11 beating in an apartment.

Prosecutors say the boys had planned to beat 18-year-old Kerria Anderson until she miscarried the seven-month-old fetus.

She told Price he had fathered the baby, he asked her to abort the pregnancy because he had recently discovered they were cousins, and she refused, prosecutors say.

The fetus was delivered stillborn after the attack. Months after the attack, tests revealed Price wasn't the father.
