3 injured in Kenton Co. crash

(MORNING VIEW, KY) -- Three people were injured Tuesday morning in a serious crash in the 800 block of Bracht-Piner Road (Ky. 14) in Morning View.

Investigation revealed at Toyota Corolla operated by Tony Barger, 30, of Demossville was traveling westbound on Bracht-Piner Road when his vehicle went left of center and struck an eastbound Toyota pick-up operated by Arthur Burriss, 52, of Covington. After the initial collision, Barger's vehicle was struck by a Chevy Colorado driven by Sandra Edwards, 44, also of Demossville. Edwards was also traveling westbound on the road.

Investigation revealed Barger fell asleep at the wheel, thus causing the crash.

Barger was flown by helicopter to University Hospital. Burriss and Edwards were both transported by ambulance to area hospitals.

Their conditions are unknown.
